Good work should feel like you.

I’m Paul McDougall, founder of Flux. I bring technology and distinctive design together through websites, SEO and branding. My head’s usually three ideas ahead. The trick is knowing which one’s worth chasing.

I’m curious, hands-on and fairly stubborn when something isn’t right. I’ll question the brief, get stuck into the detail and happily start again if the idea deserves better.

A website should do more than look good. It needs to work properly, be easy to use and help the right people find you. Website design, development, SEO and branding all happen in the same conversation—with me, from the first idea to launch and beyond.

A bit of Glasgow grit. A restless imagination. And a low tolerance for “that’ll do”.

A little more about Flux

A Scottish studio with its sleeves rolled up.

Flux is an independent creative studio in Scotland, working with businesses here and further afield. We make the important thing clear, then give it a character people remember.

Brand thinking, identity and development stay connected from the first conversation to the details that go live — so the finished work feels like one considered piece.

Behind the restless imagination is a serious business. Flux is our creative studio, alongside our software company, WeBuildLogic. Our experience spans projects across the public and private sectors, bringing solid technical delivery to the creative thinking. Both Flux and WeBuildLogic are fully insured and registered with the ICO—we take the responsibilities as seriously as the work.

A proper conversation. Then a clear way forward.

First, listen.

We get to know your business, your people and what you want to change.

Then, make.

We shape the strategy and design together, so the idea feels unmistakably yours.

Build it properly.

Design and development stay close, right through the responsive build and launch.
