CHARACTER. NOT A TEMPLATE.

A bridge, a river and a lot of Glasgow character. Beige never stood a chance.

THE GOOD STUFF IS IN THE MIX.

Kelvinbridge isn’t one lonely object on a white background. It’s the bridge, the stone buildings, the river, the greenery and the details around it. In this photograph, the colour and reflections pull those pieces into one very Glasgow picture.

That’s why a sense of place matters. You recognise more than a structure. You recognise an atmosphere. A brand can do that too, if you stop sanding off every interesting thing about it.

YOUR WEBSITE NEEDS ITS OWN ADDRESS.

Not the URL. The feeling. Could someone mistake your homepage for the business next door if I covered the logo? Same stock photo. Same six boxes. Same “passionate about delivering solutions”. Passionate about what, exactly? Moving the boxes?

Use photographs with a point of view. Choose type that suits how you speak. Give your content a proper order. A website should feel like a place someone can explore, not a showroom full of things nobody’s allowed to touch.

“Looking like everyone else is not the same as looking professional.”

DETAIL IS NOT CLUTTER.

The trick is knowing which details deserve attention. A strong crop. A repeated colour. A headline that sounds like a human being. You don’t need fourteen animations waving at the visitor like they’ve just arrived at Glasgow Airport.

Keep the route clear, then give people something worth noticing along the way. That’s how you get character without chaos. And a website people remember for the right reasons. Revolutionary stuff, apparently.
